In the early 1880's our great-great-grandfather Dennis Crowley crafted what he considered to be the world’s best-tasting bubble recipe for family and friends. He was a bartender in Worcester, Massachusetts and was fascinated by the modern beverage, particularly as his whiskey business was in jeopardy. As the prohibition movement was rolling towards legislation his seltzer business began to gain steam. In the beginning, Polar Seltzer was made with 3 ingredients – pure water, the perfect bubbles to tingle your taste buds, and great tasting flavor to satisfy cravings. Not much has changed in the past 135 years. Well…except, we now craft over 19 different varietals, and the Crowley family no longer delivers by horse and carriage.
